I want you to have the health, fitness and body of your dreams. I have very little interest in your daily caloric intake. I will not monitor your calorie burn or how many crunches you did last week. I won't suggest you need to supplement with bars, powders, or pills. I absolutely will not put you on a diet.
We will say goodbye to the dishonest, ineffective diet mentality and the resulting cycle of weight loss / weight gain. No restrictive eating plans or crazy exercise demands. Here is what I know about myself: I have a fierce desire to grow and evolve, learn and understand. This doesn't happen within the boundaries of daily living, where we spend so much time on autopilot. We need to go deeper into our experiences to gain from them, be moved by them. Life can be hard. And sometimes scary. Courage is required. I've learned that I need support; coaches, teachers, mentors, friends, family. Self discovery has been, and continues to be, a collaborative effort.
We humans do best in herds. We crave connection, community, and a sense of belonging. Connection, especially one where we feel like we're being heard as our true self, is an essential component of health. "Community builds immunity": studies confirm that the more varied and regular our social interaction is, the stronger our immune system. Amazing shifts can happen simply from sitting together with our hearts and minds open. The act of opening up gives everyone in the group not only permission, but a bit of courage to do their own exploration and find what they need to live large.
